What is the course of accompaniment?

Guitar is the best musical instrument to play harmony and rhytm at the same time. This is one of the reasons why guitar is essential in a variety of musical styles.

If you have completed the basic accompaniment course, you will be able to build and play all the chords in the world! But the truth is that you don't need them all - pick your favorite style and study only the stuff that you need. If you are not a beginner then don't start from the beginning, the online course is flexible.

The idea of the course is that you don't need to memorize tons of tables and theory. Instead that it is important to get your head around the principles - why are things that way?

When will I be able to play?

The Accompaniment Course has a clear goal - you will learn the chords and rhytms and get the basic music theory that is relevant to the topic. At live-courses it takes 2 months to go through the material but at the online school you are the boss and move at your own pace.

In the beginning of the course you will also learn to play melodies and get an idea how the guitar music is being written down. Reading notes and tablatures isn't a goal but just a tool to get to the music.

The course is made up of 8 levels and by completing any of the levels you will have a bunch of new practical skills and you could stop and say - hey, I can already play something the guitar!
